FIRST LEGO League Robotics Tournament

Trafalgar Castle School was host to a very impressive tournament last month as the Second Annual Durham Regional LEGO League Tournament found a home at the Castle for the weekend. This year’s theme was all about ‘Alternative Energy’ and the event was generously sponsored by Ontario Power Generation.
I don't really remember what I was learning in Grade 6, but I am certain it wasn't how to build a robot out of LEGO, (using sophisticated engineering and technology concepts), program my laptop to make it move, lift objects and open a window...and then have to write a research paper on it then present it all to a panel of judges! This was an amazing competetion as students from all over Durham Region battled it out...in a science lab! I am certain of one thing-I could never be a judge for this compitetion as I would want to give them all the Gold!
