2008 September > Giant Yard Sale

Durham residents cleaned out their garages and basements to help support the Durham Rape Crisis Centre on August 16th. An incredible amount of items were donated for the Giant Yard Sale at Westminster United Church. The church yard and parking lot were overflowing with items for bargain hunters to browse. A steady stream of shoppers began arriving at 8am to scoop up treasures and support the DRCC at the same time. Organizers were thrilled with the tremendous support of their volunteers who helped set up and work the event as well as the generosity of their sponsors Break Away Copiers, The Mount Pleasant Group, Panago Pizza and Whitby-Mini Store-it.
