Creativity knows no bounds....
unless you’ve been locked in a haunted castle overnight with eight hours to write a play!
Driftwood Theatre - Ontario’s most exciting and accessible theatre company - was thrilled to embark on their 16th season with Trafalgar 24, the annual play-creation festival and fundraising gala. In only 24 hours, 40 Artists write, produce, rehearse and perform ten original new works in various locations of the 19th century Trafalgar Castle. The 24 hour event culminates in a public performance of each of the works at the gala.
The whirlwind begins for the audience with a Wine Reception where guests bid on a diverse selection of Silent Auction items and select which six plays they will experience. Guests explore Whitby’s very own 19th century castle as they move from play to play throughout this heritage site. This is one of my very favourite events in Whitby, one should not miss it!
